It looks like November 22nd, 2008 will be our Next Gourmet Club Dinner. Annette and Rink proposed the dates of the 15th or the 22nd and we got a thumbs up for the 22nd from everybody. So all we need now is a theme. This should be a real nice party since it is right before Thanksgiving and we will get to feast and party with friends which we all know is different then the family gatherings we do on Thanksgiving. Family Holiday gatherings are great but our Club Dinners are Parties !!!

BackYard playing in Hammonton

BackYard, the little acoustic band made up of some Gourmet Club members, will be playing in Hammonton, NJ on Friday, November 7th. They will be playing accross the street from The Hammonton Arts Center as part of the Friday Night On The Town Holiday Celebration! Music to start about 7 pm. This event is meant to bring people into town for shopping and community support. Check out the BackYard website for more information on this event and other upcoming BackYard gigs.
To The Next Dinner

Now that our Tuscan Dinner is over, it is time to start planning the next dinner party. The next gathering will be at the Rinker residence and we will wait for word from Annette and Rink on a date and theme. Will it be November?? December?? We shall see….

Tuscan Dinner 9/27/08

Our Tuscan Dinner at Bob and Sally’s house this past Saturday night was delicious. It was a smaller than usual party as our guests backed out and Jim was not feeling well so he and Judy didn’t come either. But that didn’t stop us from having a great dinner and party to boot. Sally hustled up an appetizer. She made vadallia onion pizzas that were quite tasty. Annette made a hearty eggplant soup that was yummy and Maureen made a fresh tomato, basil salad with balsamic vinigar. Next came the entre. Sally made Tuscan Rosemary Roasted Chicken that was served with Maureen and Mike’s Pasta with homemade sauce. All very delicious. For dessert we had an assortment of Italian (style) cookies and Lemon Water Ice in martini glasses. After all that eating we sat back and talked for a while, drank a little more, then called it a night. A good night at that.

Its Almost Dinner Time

Our next dinner gathering is right around the corner. September 27th at Bob and Sally’s house. The theme is going to be Italian and the entre we are going with will be Tuscan Chicken with Rosemary. In case anyone isn’t sure, Rinkers have soup, M Werts have Salad / Side, and J Werts have the appetizer honors. Our guests will once again be Melissa and Kris and they will bring the desert. Remember the rotaion chart with who has what can always be found on our Member Info page. Any questions or comments let em rip!!
