Gourmet Club Dinner held on October 11th, 2003
Our Own "Oktoberfest" Celebration
This Gourmet Dinner Club gathering was held on October 11, 2003
The gathering was held at Sally and Bob's house.
This was a Major Beer Drinking Event. We had many different German
Beers to choose from including a little mini-keg of Lowenbrough Special Octoberfest Brew. The food was very authentic and quite delicious and everyone seemed to have a blast. It was a real eating, drinking, singing and dancing kinda evening. Our guests for the evening were Karen and Andy McGlaughlin who have been with us before and will no doubt be with us again. They make great guests and we all enjoy their company.
This dinner was a little different then most. We served up most of the dinner at the same time. This is like the way it is done in Germany at the real annual Oktoberfest Celebration. In a big tent with long rows of tables. You go and fill your plate with food and your stien with Beer then you sit down with your friends and Party!! But when your done there it's time to go to another tent and do it all over again. Whoa!!
