OUR GOURMET DINNER CLUB - Chinese Dinner 10/1/05

Our Hostess and Host for the evening.  Annette and Rink.


Dinner started out with appetizers that Sally and Bob created.  Shrimp and Scallops wrapped in bacon and seasoned with oriental seafood seasonings served with creamy horseradish dip and fresh wasabi.

 

Mike and Maureen brought a delicious soup made by creating a light chicken broth with leafy Chinese vegetables. Light but full of flavor.
Next came a salad created by Chef Jim and inspired by Judy as always.  Delicious Chinese greens with a ginger dressing and topped with seasoned shrimp.
Now came the main event.  Our main dish which was stir fried oriental chicken served with brown rice which was created by Annette and Rink.
Our Main dish was accompanied by a great side dish of stir fried oriental vegetables created by Chef Jim..
  After the fabulous dinner we were treated to some delicious Chinese pastries and cakes that were bought at an authentic Chinese Market.  A bit different from your normal dessert tray but a delicious assortment just the same.  Accompanied with some tea It was a great ending to our Chinese feast.
