Chocolate Tamal

1 c. milk

1 lb. melted chocolate

1 lb. butter

2 cups sugar

1 ½ pounds maseca (white corn meal, it is 
better to mix this half and half with regular 
flour) it would be 3 ½ cups of flour.

1 T. baking powder

20 corn husks

Preheat oven to 350. Heat milk and add the 
chocolate. Stir constantly until chocolate 
is completely melted. Add the butter and the 
sugar. Mix until smooth. Set aside to cool. 
Mix flours and baking powder together in a bowl. 
Slowly add the hot liquid and mix by hand for 
10 minutes. Grease 2 dozen muffin pans and line 
with corn husks. Fill with tamal mixture and 
bake for 20 minutes.
