We want to wish all the Mothers out there a Happy Day tomorrow.  It is their special day and we hope the moms in our group along with every other Mother out there has a Happy Mothers Day!

Our last dinner was a lot of fun and we all Thank Mike and Maureen for hosting a fabulous party.  The next dinner falls on Jim and Judy and details should be forthcoming.  Although I think Judy has some specific ideas or plans and we are waiting to hear what she has in mind.  In the mean time Mike has mentioned getting together for one of our road trips and dinner outings.  It’s been a while and it would be good to get together without the pressure of preparing food to eat out and enjoy a night on the town.  So we need to get a discussion going and figure out our next moves. 

1 - Plans for the next dinner.  The quicker we get dates out the easier it is to get one that we all agree upon.

2 - Lets get a night out planned.  Mike has mentioned a few good ideas and we should get a date together for this.  This can be a Sunday even or a Friday night.  After all we are not cooking.

Another thing that has been brought up is the addition of new members.  New members can add new ideas and diversity to our group.  But are we ready?  Are we able to add another variable to our scheduling?  There are other things to consider too.  Like that would be 10 people for dinner and with a guest couple 12 or more.  Thats a big dinner and more to prepare for as a host or guest.  Are we all still that commited?  I think the 4 couples each having 1 dinner a year seems to be a pretty hard thing to do these days with everyone having their own social schedules.  These are the things I think we have to discuss before bringing on additional members

Our Gourmet Dinner Club held a fantastic dinner on March 8th, 2008 at Mike and Maureen’s house.  The guests were Brad and Samantha who live accross the street from Mike and Maureen.  Dinner was fabulous starting with appetizers that Rink and Annette brought.  A hardy crab soup from Jim and Judy Wert. A nice organic salad with homemade dressing by Sally and Bob.  A main dish of Lamb chops and grilled chicken with a side of fruit salsa by our hosts Mike and Maureen, and grilled asparagus topped with bacon also by Sally and Bob.  For dessert, our guests treated us each to a rich chocolate lava cake.  WOW what a meal!!!  Mike’s beer myster was in full working order and flowing nicely.  We ended the night drinking and playing WII video games till pretty late.  Another Nice Party!!  

 So Good!!!

Plus our own Soup Nazi, Jim Wert,  gets recognition by the Original Soup Nazi who was at the Atlantic City Gourmet Food Show.  Sally and Bob got the actor from the now famous episodes of  the Jerry Sienfeld show to autograph a picture that we presented to our own favorite soup chef.We’re glad our Jim never says: NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!
